EQUALITIES
The Equality Act 2010 provides the UK legislative basis to eliminate discrimination and promote equality in public bodies. The Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) (Scotland) Regulations 2012 provides for detailed action from public bodies in Scotland. The Commission, as a Non Departmental Public Body (NDPB), must evidence compliance with both the 2010 Act and the 2012 Regulations.
In order to demonstrate compliance with both the 2010 Act and the 2012 Regulations the Commission undertakes Equality Impact Assessments of its key policies, procedures and practices and details of these assessments are published on this page.
